Why is Cadega charging people money when it is built from open source software, wine?

The software is freely available in CVS and there are plenty of instructions on how to compile it.

While Cadega is based on Wine, they also added their own coding to it and they are not charging you for the software. They are charging for the time and resources to keep it updated, packaged and to get individual games/software to work on it.
