What Will Be The Future Of Using Opensource Frameworks For Developing Enterprise Software Systems?
I am curious to find out about the future of open source frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts …. it is a true fact that those help a lot for the Software Engineers but there will be a never ending learning process for every IT professional since they are rapidly changing and new frameworks are been developed fast. Will there be an age that we do not need Software guru’s to solve our problems and we can develop our own software solutions ….. ???

Depends who you want to believe. I suppose that eventually, software as we understand it won’t exist; machines will function in a method much closer to the way biological creatures learn.
Of course, we biological beings need doctors, veterinarians and botanists to keep us alive, and in the end, even they fail. Probably the same will always be true of machines.
Well if people would learn to do more than engineering and/or other aspects of computers, then maybe that time would be today.
I self-taught myself to do programming first, way back in the days of COBOL, BASIC, C, C#, etc. As programming progressed, I made sure I progressed as well. I learned HTML, CSS, XHTML, PHP, MySQL, etc… and am learning more and more every day. Ruby, AJAX, etc.
As I was learning programming more and more, I took the time to learn design. Photoshop and color theory, Typography and other aspects of graphic design.
Now I’m learning more than ever, I’m also getting back into Flash, I haven’t touched it since v.5.
I’ve been using CakePHP, Seagull, and enjoying those frameworks. Now I am using CodeIgniter and Akelos. Been sharpening up on Zend and Symphony.
I don’t need anyone to solve my problems. I am starting to develop my own framework myself… and enjoying it.
Open source has been a blessing to the programming world and it won’t go away anytime soon, or in the future in my opinion.
