Proview is a PDF editor that allows you to merge and split files; rotate, flip, and scale individual pages or all pages; crop pages; and modify the document information. It can edit encrypted files, and can decrypt and encrypt PDF documents. You can also manage PDF bookmarks, add or remove PDF attachments, and add text and dates to one or more pages. Proview has a simple, clean interface with all functions easily accessible, and it comes with full interactive help.

Changes: A visual crop feature was added. A new Page tab was added in Inspector for editing page boxes. Many improvements and bug fixes were made. This version is almost twice as fast as before.

Poppler is a PDF rendering library derived from xpdf. It has been enhanced to utilize modern libraries. It also provides basic command line utilities.

Changes: Crashes in the PS output device, on some malformed files, and with nameless layers were resolved. Rendering of some documents involving tilingPatternFill was fixed in the Cairo output device. ColorTransform is now handled properly in DCT streams when using libjpeg. Padding of names in pdftoppm was fixed.

LibESMTP is a library to manage posting (or submission of) electronic mail using SMTP to a preconfigured Mail Transport Agent (MTA) such as Exim. It may be used as part of a Mail User Agent (MUA) or another program that must be able to post electronic mail but where mail functionality is not the program's primary purpose. LibESMTP is not intended to be used as part of a program that implements a Mail Transport Agent.

Changes: A certificate domain name comparison bug when wildcards are used was fixed. A subjectAltName comparison failure no longer falls back to commonName, which is now used only when subjectAltName is not present. The auto* file was tweaked for the current versions of these tools.

Sqlkit provides a GUI named sqledit to edit data in a database, as well as a package (sqlkit) in PyGtk. Sqledit (the application) can be run from the command line with arguments and will pop directly into the table/mask of the data, or without arguments and will present an input mask to write the database URL. Sqlkit (the Python package) provides SqlMask and SqlTable, two widgets for editing database data. It is meant to be used as a base for database desktop applications.

Changes: Many new features were introduced, along with the latest version of SQLAlchemy. Read-only fields computed from other fields are now supported. The filter panel output is completely configurable. Local sort was added, making it possible to sort related fields in complex masks. Tables can now be split in different views. Many bugs have been fixed.

SquidClamAv is a dedicated ClamAV antivirus redirector for Squid. It provides fine control over which files should be scanned. It is easy to install and works even with heavy Squid access.

SchilliX is an OpenSolaris-based live CD and distribution that is intended to help people discover OpenSolaris. When installed on a hard drive, it also allows developers to develop and compile code in a pure OpenSolaris environment. SchilliX tries to be as Sun Solaris compatible as possible and to be the optimum development platform for Solaris and OpenSolaris.
