How come we never see any commercials or bus ads for open source software? You can’t argue with FREE. I was thinking about advertising Open Office at my college the other day. If I were to put an ad for OpenOffice 3 on a billboard, would I get in trouble? Someone needs to build awareness of the existence of open source alternatives.

Hello all. I was wondering if open source software can be used for corporate use. Does anyone know if there are any limitations? I am sending a request list of some open source software to the IT help desk for the corporation I work for to approve, but they mentioned that I needed to make sure it was okay for corporate use first. That seemed to imply that not all open source software was available for corporate use but would be for the user. Anyone know for sure?

Free Open Source Software is now being depicted has a enemy of the USA, by the IIPA (International Intellectual Property Alliance), This influential lobby group is asking the US government to basically consider open source software as the equivalent of piracy – or even worse.

The Capitalist American IIPA are stating that any Government that openly supports Open Source Software be classed as Communism, Socialism or Liberalism and should be put on the 301 list,

Americans are the ones that shout the loudest about the freedom. The IIPA is a Dictatorship of large companies that wants to control you. If you or your government support FOSS then that’s being an enemy of capitalism and will be outlawed by these capitalist companies should they get the US governments approval.
