I just? completed this operation, took me about 2 hours total while leaving a hairline crack in the right hand corner of my LCD which I most probably will replace.. Erk.
I don’t recommend doing this

exodous02 @ 3:29 pm

I’ve fixed a few Nintendo DSLs by replacing the cases and it is nerve wracking rolling and installing the LCD cable. I never have damaged anything doing it however. The? soldering is an added step here, hopefully on the Pandora 2 you guys will have the speakers connect some other way.

jdbye @ 3:32 pm

@MJLG5 It does that sometimes when you shutdown (the? terminal is overlapping the bootscreen)

ajlusted @ 3:36 pm

Very impressive! Although I’m still glad I sent mine back rather than? trying to replace the cable myself :)

MJLG5 @ 3:38 pm

@jdbye? @ajlusted oh ok thanks guys

ajlusted @ 3:43 pm

@MJLG5 The Pandora does that on shutdown, it’s a software thing, nothing to worry? about!

shaurz @ 3:44 pm

Why was the screen cover designed to? snap in, instead of just being held by the screws?

MJLG5 @ 3:45 pm

why does it? look half screen at 18:52 ?

ProfessorDarkly @ 3:53 pm

Is? there a way to tighten the hinge?

Shadowkirby64000 @ 3:55 pm

DO you think you could do something like this but for a dingoo? I know a LOT of people who broke their? dingoo screens, including me.

munchluxe63 @ 3:56 pm

Wow, not as scary as opening up and repairing an iPod or? Caanoo!

bigun89 @ 4:00 pm

Yeah…. this made my decision for me, I’m? mailing my Pandora in for repair, I’m not brave enough to take mine apart.

ArsonistInUrFirewall @ 4:06 pm
