Is there an open source program that can rip a dvd in s single file?

someone suggest me wondershare dvd ripper, but i don’t hav e money to spend, i was wondering if someone knew a opensource program. I’m usind a free program called dvd decripter but what it does it creates several files instead of only one. I would like to rip a dvd into one file and once finished be able to double click that file and play the movie.

Thanks

Two programs needed, daemon tools (free)

alcohol 120% or similar program, links both found here:

http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/ (trial does not prevent future program use)

If you are Mac user, you can use handbrake, it’s free, just google search for it.
If you are Windows user, you can use DVD Decrypter, I’d prefer using this DVD Ripper, it’s not free, but it works really nice for me
