Goodbye, SourceForge
I’ve been at Geeknet for over a year now, and I’ve met some very smart people along the way. However, sometimes opportunities are thrown your way that can’t be denied. As such, I’ll be leaving the SourceForge team on October 9 to pursue other things. I will surely miss my Geeknet crew and the project admins I’ve gotten to know so well. I’m quite grateful for the chance to work with you.
They say when one door closes, another opens, so that also means that there is now an opportunity for one of *you* to come on board! There is a new position being created, called our Community Growth Hacker. In a nutshell:
The community growth hacker will work with the rest of the SourceForge team to make sure we are building the products that will drive community growth, and to help the team articulate the value of each tool/service and each new release.
This is a great company with a lot of exciting changes in the works, and I encourage you to apply if this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of.
Speaking of exciting changes, we will be posting more details later, so keep your eyes open. Until then, you will still see me hanging around for a few weeks, so if there’s anything you need from SourceForge, or anything I can do to help you, please don’t hesitate to give me a shout.
Thanks again. For everything.
Cheers,
Elizabeth
