Can I Upload Open Source Software For My Website?

I want to upload open source software & books on my website.Is it legal to give my users these materials free from my site.

If it is under the GNU GPL license, yes it is perfectly legal. You can even sell it if you wanted to! But that would be cruel capitalism.

You can upload any software to your website as long as you have the software authors permission.
Open source software can be distributed without asking permission
