NotePad/WordPad
All a writer needs is a tablet upon which to write. The more you worry about what word processor you are using, the more you aren’t writing. As a writer is defined by the action of writing, the less you write the less of a writer you are.
Why would you exclude OpenOffice. I understand excluding MS Word, Wordperfect, etcetera because they are not free nor open source.
But OO is both of those and the best I found so far. Why hinder yourself with a weaker tool than necessary? OO even has a U3 version that’ll run off a memory stick so you can use it wherever you go.
