server/client connected by pipes for flexibility.
Possible uses for this include using a
keyboard/numpad to control applications such as
media players, media centers (using a remote that

jsgal 0.81 (Default branch)

align="right" alt="Screenshot" hspace="10" vspace="10">
jsgal is a dynamic Web-based gallery. However,
rather than generating the gallery pages on a
server using scripts, it is implemented in
Javascript and DHTML and generates the pages in
the client’s browser. No offline generation of the
Web pages is required; only a list of images has
to be maintained, which allows easy updating and
extending of galleries. This allows you to host
dynamic galleries on servers without scripting
support, or on local filesystems (e.g. CD-ROMs).

Changes:
This release adds image preview in the thumb gallery for Internet Explorer. It adds vertical scaling of the gallery so that it perfectly fits into the browser window. It adds prefetching of preview images for faster previewing. It changes the HTML document type of the gallery from HTMLTransitional to XHTML Strict.

Garmin Nuvifone Clarification: Linux-based but not Android

Talk about tempests and teapots. Yesterday had quite the controversy as reports swirled around the Intertubes that Garmin would be releasing an Android handset. This all started when website DigiTimes posted that Garmin would launch Android handsets during the second half of 2009. Immediately, everyone started speculating whether the upcoming Nuvifone would be Android based. Apparently not. Garmin responded with a press release disputing the DigiTimes report and saying the story contained “a number inaccuracies in both sales figures and product rollout schedules.”

Try Mozilla’s Fennic Mobile Browser on Windows, Mac or Linux

Hot on the heels of a mobile device browsing tip, I see that Mozilla has outed the next alpha version of their Fennic browser. Fennic is the mobile version of Firefox that’s currently targeted at the Nokia Internet Tablet line, but that’s likely just the beginning of device support considering the vast amount of mobile phones out on the market.
