Logger is a log queueing and optimization utility.
It can handle logs larger than 2GB and perform
automatic nightly log rotation without affecting
services. Any application that writes a log can be
maintained be Logger, including syslogd. It is
light, small, and fast, emphasizes security, and
reduces drive usage through memory queueing.

Changes:
Memory allocations have been cleaned up. Memory is now allocated much more effeciently. Code has been added to make every attempt at preventing Logger from crashing on insanely large memory queues. This has been tested with tcpdump. Maximum used memory at 500,000 queued lines was 68 MB. Predefined memory settings have been added to the COMPILE script. Logger will not exceed a total of 16 MB for its memory queues by default now.
