The sheer ignorance regarding casual Linux users astounds me to no end. While I’m not interested in pointing fingers, there is a lot of misinformation about the Linux community, and we will help to dispel some of these myths, once and for all.

BDD BuDDy 2.4 (Default branch)

NodeMon 0.3.3 (Default branch)

Screenshot NodeMon is a resource utilization monitor tailored to the Altix architecture, but is applicable to any Linux system or cluster. It allows distributed resource monitoring via the Growler software infrastructure. It is modular, with existing modules for monitoring of CPU, memory, network, and numalink activity. Its most notable feature is its composition of large amounts of statistics into a single graphical window. It was originally designed for monitoring NASA's Columbia supercomputer.

Growler distributed object architecture 0.3.5 (Default branch)

Screenshot Growler is a component-oriented framework aimed at distributed and collaborative visualization and computational steering. It is released under the NASA Open Source Agreement. Growler's distributed object and event architecture is suitable for application to high-performance LAN environments as well the Internet. Its features include strong integration with C++, selective distributed reference counting, and efficient well-typed event channels for local and remote event broadcast, with support for low-latency/low-perturbation events via a loss-tolerant "state-based" event model. There is also support for event transmission over Infiniband, and event sizes greater that 4 gigabytes.

Liblicense 0.3 (Default branch)

Liblicense is a library to assist in the aggregation of license data and the embedding of license data within a file. It also provides the license data of common licenses, such as those by Creative Commons and GNU's GPL and LGPL.

Changes:
This is the first version to feature desktop integration. It now features Gnome Nautilus integration: licenses are displayed and can be written from within Nautilus. The integration also takes advantage of emblems to visibly display files as licensed. Additionally, it features new modules supporting reading from and writing licenses to MSOffice (pre-2007), FLAC, Ogg+FLAC, MusePack, and SMIL.

Safe and SafeDesktop 2.2.6 (Default branch)

Screenshot The idea behind Safe is that a user need not remember all her login names and passwords. Instead, the user utilizes her cell phone to store sensitive data in an encrypted way. Only one root password is required to be remembered to get access to the data. The cell phone in question needs to support J2ME applications. SafeDesktop is a cross-platform desktop application that provides the same features as Safe, and has a mechanism to keep the data synchronized between the two.

Changes:
An IPv6 problem has been fixed (no exception will be thrown when the machine uses IPv6). Exception handling has been improved (error messages provide hints as to what went wrong). A minor bug has been fixed (mainly how and when Alerts are shown).

SmallSQL 0.19 (Default branch)

SmallSQL is a pure Java DBMS, a relational database for Java desktop applications. It has a JDBC 3.0 interface and offers many ANSI SQL 92 and ANSI SQL 99 features. It is very small and fast because it does not have a network interface.

Changes:
JOIN performance was greatly improved with a new algorithm. German and Italian translations of the error messages were added, and it is easy to add more translations. Some bugs were fixed.
